Brenda Pingleton, of Pauls Valley, passed away October 11, 2024, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years.
Brenda Kay Morris was born January 8, 1953, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Ernest Boyd and Lona Mae (Maness) Morris. She was raised in the Antioch and Pauls Valley area and is a graduate of Pauls Valley High School.
She and Archie Pingleton were married in the Love Baptist Church near Antioch, Oklahoma, on November 22, 1971. Brenda was a loving wife and mother. She has worked as a caregiver at the Pauls Valley State School as well as at local nursing homes among other services in the Pauls Valley area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lona Mae Morris; sister, Ruth Looney; and mother-inlaw, Lovie Pingleton; as well as her brother and sisterin-law, Bobby and Caroline Owens.
Brenda is survived by husband of 53 years, Archie Pingleton, of the home; her son and his wife, Richie and Dyann Pingleton, of Wynnewood; her brother and his wife, Gilbert and Myrna Morris, of Norman; three grandchildren, Shelby and husband, Nathan Lemm; Bailey and husband, Tyler Gilmore; and Hailey Kilcrease; one great-grandson, Grinston Gilmore, and one more on the way; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, Terry Looney and wife, Sherry, of Davis; Joe Don Looney and wife, Donna, of Pauls Valley; John and Brian Woods of Victoria, Texas; Amy and husband, Daniel Somers, of Norman; Kathy Williams, of Pauls Valley; Bill Russell and wife, Molly, of Maysville; Jimmy Russell and wife, Regina, of Tampa, Texas; Tim Morris and wife, Cindy, of Ponca City; Stormie Jones and husband, Tony, of Pauls Valley; Cindy Shalver and husband, Carl, of Pauls Valley; Steve Cantrell of Oklahoma City; and Bobby Owens Jr. and wife, Kathy, of Idaho; cousin, Jan Owens; sister-in-law, Christine Cantrell, of Oklahoma City; cousins, Jerry Maness and Dennis Maness, both of Pauls Valley; as well as a host of other loving family and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 18, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Lynn Phillips and Pastor Andy Harrison. Interment will be at Mt.
