Pauls Valley alumna Savanna Bolen graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma’s Jackson College of Graduate Studies May 8 with a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology.
Bolen earned a bachelor of arts degree, graduating summa cum laude, in 2023.
She has since completed the requirements to become a licensed professional counselor, including earning her master’s degree, passing an Oklahoma background check and passing the Oklahoma Legal and Ethical Responsibilities Exam. She is currently completing her practicum and then will need 3,000 hours of supervised experience to apply for the National Counselor Examination.
Bolen, a 2018 graduate of Pauls Valley High School, is the daughter of Chelsea Boone and the late Patrick Bolen and the granddaughter of Larry and Phyllis Boone, all of Pauls Valley.
