Wynnewood wins conference championship

As Week 5 of the baseball season wraps up, several local teams have made the rankings. 

Wynnewood (19-2) is No. 7 in Class 2A2. Saturday, the Savages won the Big 6 Conference Championship with a 4-0 win over Stratford. On Tuesday, they beat Wilson 15-4. 

Also in Class 2A2, Vanoss (6-7) is ranked No. 13. The Wolves lost 3-2 to Dibble on Monday and lost 4-3 to Asher on Tuesday. 

Stratford (15-5) is No. 16 in Class 2A1. After the 4-0 loss to Wynnewood, the Bulldogs played a doubleheader in Konowa on Monday. They won 12-6 and 15-10. Tuesday, they beat Wayne 13-0. 

Pauls Valley (4-14) is fifth in Class 4A-3. On Monday, the Panthers won a doubleheader against Star Spencer, 14-0 and 12-0. 

Lindsay (9-8) is third in District 3A-1. On Monday, the Leopards beat Davis 5-3 at home, then lost at Davis on Tuesday 6-4. 

Elmore City-Pernell (10-6) won 24-0 over Maysville (0-18) on Monday. A Tuesday doubleheader at Wewoka ended with the Badgers winning 10-0 and 17-3.
