Local churches have special events planned for Holy Week.
In Pauls Valley, First Christian Church, First Presbyterian Church and First United Methodist Church will host a community Maundy Thursday service focused on the Last Supper at 6 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church.
These three churches will also host a community Good Friday service focused on the cross and featuring darkness, a stripping of the sanctuary and solemn reproaches. This service will be at 6 p.m. April 3 at First Presbyterian Church.
Trinity Baptist Church in Pauls Valley will also host a Good Friday service at 6 p.m. April 3. The service will feature violinist Haley Hanzel, and Communion will be served.
Lindsay United Methodist Church will host a Passover remembrance service with Communion at 6 p.m. Thursday in the church's Percy Hall. On April 3, Lindsay United will host a Good Friday service at 6 p.m. in their sanctuary.
