Savages win in close game with Bulldogs
In Class 2A, Wynnewood (17-5) won 55-51 over Stratford (15-9) Saturday.
The Savages finished their regular season with a 51-42 win over Harrah (1-23, Class 4A).
The Bulldogs won 74-69 over Little Axe (14-10) Friday. Both local schools will play in the Districts at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Regionals will be Tuesday through Feb. 28.
Wynnewood will go to Dibble (11-12) for the Area IV, District 4 Championship. In Regionals, they will play the corresponding team from the Konowa (6-14) at Vanoss (194, #4) game.
Stratford will host Minco (13-10) for the Area II, District 4 Championship. In Regionals, they will play the corresponding team from The Academy (9-12) at Christian Heritage (10-12, #11) game.
Lindsay
The Leopards (20-6, #8 in Class 3A) ended the regular season with a 64-56 loss to Crooked Oak (19-6, #5 in Class 3A) Friday and a 60-53 loss to Purcell (18-7, Class 4A) Tuesday.
Lindsay will host Comanche (7-15) for the Area II, District 3 Championship at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Regionals will be Tuesday through Feb. 28 at Washington, and Lindsay will play the corresponding team from the Marlow (15-10) at Washington (9-16) game.
Pauls Valley
The Panthers (2-19, Class 4A) lost 75-54 to Bridge Creek, lost 73-51 to Washington and lost 59-55 to Chickasha.
Pauls Valley will host Ardmore (16-7, #16) for the Class 4A, Area II, District 4 Championship.
Regionals will be Tuesday through Feb. 28. The Panthers will head to Lone Grove to play the corresponding team from the Plainview (4-14) at Lone Grove (16-7) district game.
