FFA and 4-H youth from across the county will head into the show ring Feb. 16-23 for the Garvin County Junior Livestock Show. Set to take place at the Garvin County Fairgrounds, this year’s event will feature cattle, swine, goat and sheep shows, as well as an agricultural mechanics contest. The weeklong show will wrap up with the buyers dinner and premium sale Monday, Feb. 23.

Monday, Feb. 16
•9-11 a.m. - Cattle check in
•Noon - Cattle show (heifer show followed by steer show)
Tuesday, Feb. 17
•10 a.m. - Agricultural Mechanics Contest
•3 p.m. - Official swine weigh in (all swine)
Wednesday, Feb. 18
•9 a.m. - Gilt show, barrow show (swine showmanship to follow)
Thursday, Feb. 19
•9-10 a.m. - Sheep weigh in
•10-11 a.m.- Goat weigh in
•Noon - Sheep show (ewe show followed by wether show); Goat show (begins 15 min. after sheep showmanship, doe show followed by wether show)
Monday, Feb. 23
•4:30-5:30 p.m. - Buyers dinner
•6 p.m.- Premium sale begins
