An April 7 municipal election for three Lindsay City Council positions will not be necessary, after three incumbent council members were the only ones to declare their candidacy with the Garvin County Election Board during the candidate filing period this week.
According to a report from the County Election Board at the close of the three-day filing period Wednesday evening, Bev Barker, Bart Drennan and Thomas Inman were the only three candidates to file for the two-year council terms.
Drawing no opposition, all three candidates are expected to retain their positions.
