A lengthy career in cheerleading has culminated in Gracy Manning being named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association West All-Region Cheer Team.
The Pauls Valley High School senior first started cheering in fourth grade at the community rec league. Then she cheered for the Panthers at the junior high and high schools.
“I like cheering for teams and trying to get them to score, and helping everyone have energy,” Manning said.
Of all the sports she has cheered for, Manning enjoys football the most.
“I just always loved watching football because my dad’s a football coach, so it is fun to cheer for,” she said.
Manning has lettered all four years in cheerleading. PVHS Head Cheer Coach Bailey Ratchford presented Manning with the red and gold All-Region jacket Tuesday during the boys basketball game against Chickasha.
“We are super proud of her,” said Coach Sally Tucker. “She’s been a big asset to our program, and she’ll be missed.”
Manning also lettered all four years in track and three years in basketball. She is the daughter of Greg and Kacey Manning.
