Lindsay, Maysville and Wynnewood are playoff bound

Three Garvin County football teams made the playoffs.

Undefeated Wynnewood will host Sayre this week in the first round of playoff games.

The Savages topped District 2, with their closest game being a 19-14 nondistrict game against 2A Tishomingo. Sayre (6-4) placed fourth in District 1. The winner of the Wynnewood-Sayre game will play the winner of Panama (7-3) at Pawhuska (9-1).

In Class 2A-I, Lindsay placed third in District 2 and will travel to Oklahoma Christian School in Edmond. The Leopards (8-2) are coming off a tough 41-6 loss against Washington. The OCS Saints (9-1) placed second in District 1. Their lone loss was to Jones.

The winner of Lindsay-OCS will play the winner of Hugo (4-6) at undefeated Metro Christian.

In Class C, Maysville will travel to Oaks Mission in a battle of the Warriors. Maysville (4-6) placed third in District 4, with two of their losses to Class B schools. Oaks Mission (7-3) placed second in District 3, with their only district loss to Medford.

The Maysville-Oaks Mission winner will play the winner of Sharon Mutual (6-4) at undefeated Ryan.

OSSAA will admit veterans and a guest to firstround playoff games, free of charge. Veterans will need to show their Military ID card or driver's license with military status.
