Stratford drops to 1-2 in district after 28-6 loss to Christian Heritage

Stratford lost to Christian Heritage Academy 28-6.

'We battled a lot of adversity tonight with injuries, but I was very proud of the effort our guys played with as we just kept battling until the final whistle,' said Coach Michael Blackburn.

The Bulldogs got on the board first with Lincoln Hall running in a 3-yard touchdown in the first. The kick failed.

The Crusaders responded with a 13-yard touchdown run in the final seconds of the first quarter and a successful two-point conversion.

CHA extended their lead to 24-6 by halftime.

Joseph Smith led the Bulldogs with 92 yards rushing and 55 yards receiving.

Braxton Bear ran for 61 yards and caught for 7 yards.

On defense, Jace Cunningham had one interception and one fumble recovery. Caleb Morgan also recovered a fumble.

The Bulldogs (2-4, 1-2) will go to Hobart (3-3, 1-2) this week.

'We will go back to work and plan to have a good week of practice as we prepare to go play at Hobart,' Blackburn said.
