The community is invited to come out and “Rock the Block” with the Pauls Valley Fire Department Saturday, Aug. 16, from 4-8 p.m.
The event, sponsored by the Pauls Valley Fire Department Ladies Auxillary, will be held at the PV Fire Station, 201 S. Walnut St., and will feature family friendly activities including bounce houses, chalk drawing, coloring book stations, corn hole, a dunk tank and water fights.
The fire trucks will be pulled out so kids can see them up close, according to PV Fire Chief Scott Woods, and the fire department will be serving hot dogs, chips and drinks.
“It’s just a way for us to give back to the community, and to let the kids have some fun that first week after school starts back,” Woods said.
The event is free of charge, though donations will be accepted. The Ladies Auxillary will also be selling Fire Supporter t-shirts during the event for $25 each. All proceeds will benefit the PVFD.
