Chelsey Schroeder's Journey class at Pauls Valley Junior High School received a grant from the Pauls Valley Foundation for Academic Excellence this year for a project titled, 'Sew Much Fun.' This grant was about teaching students how to do minor sewing projects, such as sewing on a button and sewing a seam. The grant purchased sewing kits and small handheld sewing machines, as well as buttons, fabric and stuffing. Students used the equipment and supplies to work on making stuffed animals.
