Paul Dewey Bolles was born November 14, 1934, in Maysville, Oklahoma, to Dewey and Lela (Austin) Bolles. He passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 90 years. Paul was a graduate of Maysville High School. He owned and operated Maysville Auto Supply and was also the Maysville Fire Chief for many years. Paul married Betty Reece on June 2, 1956. They were married for 55 years at the time of her passing in 2012. Paul was a man of great character and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. He helped a lot of people that he never really knew simply because it was the right thing to do. Paul was a wonderful citizen of Maysville in every sense of the word, and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Paul is survived by: son, Bret Bolles of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; daughter, Lisa Adams and Greg of Norman, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ryan Stewart and Chelsea, Brooke Hornbeck and Jay of Blanchard, Oklahoma, and Blair Metros and Nicholas of North Charleston, South Carolina; great-grandchildren, Gus, Samantha, Casey, Ridley, River, Aria and Nicholas.
Paul is preceded in death by: parents, Dewey and Lela Bolles; wife, Betty Bolles; brothers, Glen Bolles, Sam Bolles, Jim Bolles and Harold Bolles; sisters, Joyce Jarvis, Ruth Clark, Betty Sue, Juanita, and Ruby Purser; and granddaughter, Amber Michele Stewart.
Graveside funeral services were Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Maysville Cemetery. Burial under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome. com.
