Garvin County is under a 14-day burn ban, effective immediately.
The Garvin County Board of Commissioners approved the burn ban resolution during their regular meeting Monday morning.
Much of Oklahoma, including Garvin County, is under a Red Flag Warning from the National Weather Service due to strong winds, low humidity and dormant or dry vegetation that are expected to create a high fire danger across the state Monday and Tuesday.
