Frankie LaVern Nabors of Pauls Valley was born November 15, 1938, to Barlow and Lela (Hicks) Couch in Elmore City, Oklahoma. LaVern passed to her heavenly home February 10, 2025, at the age of 86 surrounded by her loving family. LaVern attended McCarty School and graduated from Elmore City High School. She married Jack Nabors on October 25, 1956. Born of this marriage were two daughters, Shelia Tucker and Debbie Dahl. LaVern was a beautician for several years, and many of her clients became lifelong friends. She enjoyed cooking for her family on Sundays and was known for her famous red velvet cake. She found great joy in attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’ s events. She faithfully attended Trinity Baptist Church in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. LaVern was cherished as a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind an enduring legacy of love that will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Jack Nabors; special friend Bill Beams; two brothers, Hubert Couch and Curtis Couch; one sister, Dorothy Harris; and great-grandson Elon Amend.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Shelia and Danny Tucker of Pauls Valley, and Debbie and Jeff Dahl of Edmond; five grandchildren, Mitch Tucker and wife Sally, Mallory Crosier and husband Robbie, Jordan Dahl and wife Megan, Jacobi Amend and husband Donnie, and Kelsey Brothers and husband Rickey; 11 great-grandchildren, Lilly Tucker, Betsy Tucker, Braxton Dahl, Annie Tucker, Cora Crosier, Reid Crosier, Maddox Dahl, Leviticus Amend, Genesis Amend, Rhett Dahl and Lucy Crosier; as well as the family of Bill Beams.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dwayne Johnson. Interment will be at Mt.
