Shelly Lynn Garcia, of Pauls Valley, passed away January 30, 2025, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, at the age of 51 years. Shelly was born June 5, 1973, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Lester Gibson Sr. and Jo Ann (Martin) Gibson. She is a Pauls Valley High School graduate. She furthered her education by earning her CMA certificate, attending vo-tech to earn her certificate in floral design, and graduating from Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas. She and Lorenze Garcia were married in the Sandy Hill Baptist Church June 16, 2000. Garvin County has been her home all her life. She enjoyed going to Tuskahoma and camping, fishing and playing fast pitch softball. She greatly loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Sandy Hill Baptist Church. During Vacation Bible School she helped as a driver as well as an activity director.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Gibson Sr. and Jo Ann Gibson; maternal grandparents, Gaston and Anna Bell Henderson; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Irene Gibson; her daughter Michaela Gibson and two brothers, Lester Gibson Jr. and Jason Gibson.
Her surviving family include her husband, Lorenzo Garcia; son and his wife, Nathan and Alexandria Garcia; two grandchildren, Nevaeh Friare and Luisa Garcia; as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. David Lewis.
