AAA: More than 697,000 Oklahomans expected to travel for Thanksgiving

This year’s extended holiday forecast exceeds pre-pandemic numbers, sets new record

OKLAHOMA CITY – Nov. 18, 2024 – AAA projects 79.9 million travelers nationwide will head 50 miles or more from home over the Thanksgiving holiday, with a travel period between Nov. 26 and Dec. 2.

Across Oklahoma that number is expected to be just over 697,000, with 91.9% of those travelers in the Sooner State driving to their holiday destination, a .9% increase over last year.
