Terry Paul Wyatt Sr. was born April 14, 1951, to Paul and Lahoma (Bernice) Wyatt (Mantooth) in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He passed away at his home in Sulphur on October 10, 2024, at the age of 73.
Terry was a longtime resident of the Pauls Valley and Wynnewood areas. He worked with his brothers Bob and Fred in construction for over 20 years. He then worked for Pauls Valley Schools for 13 years in their maintenance department. He also worked for Blackburn’s Hardware in Pauls Valley and Schwan’s Home Food delivery in their warehouses. He retired at the age of 65 from the Chickasaw Nation Washita Valley Casino where he had been a security guard for a few years.
Terry is survived by his ex-wife, Annette Wyatt, of Stratford, Oklahoma, who took care of him till his passing. They had remained very close. He is also survived by his three children: daughter, Penny Campbell of Paoli, Oklahoma; son, Terry Wyatt Jr. and Natachia, of Pauls Valley; daughter, LaFreda and Jimmy Roundtree of Comanche, Oklahoma; stepson, Justin Schwagel of Stratford, Oklahoma; sister, Debbie Olvera of Pauls Valley; and brothers, Fred Marchbanks of Pauls Valley, Jerry Wyatt of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, and David Wyatt.
Terry had nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bob Marchbanks, of Pauls Valley; and a sister Carol Allen, of Fresno, California.
Terry had a real passion for hunting and fishing all his life. He raised and sold paint horses for over 25 years. His stud horse, Fabio, who he raised from a yearling still lives today and will surely miss his master. A very special thank you to Dusty Baker of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Tonya and Steve Collins of Sulphur, Oklahoma, for helping with care of Terry these past six years.
Terry was cremated, and his ashes will be spread as he requested. No services were held, which was also at his request.
