Dalton Tucker

Dalton Tucker, at age 79, passed away on July 23, 2024, with family at his side in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He was born a twin on May 31, 1945, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to RJ “Shorty” and Hettie Tucker.

Dalton never left the Pauls Valley area. He attended school at Liberty and then at Pauls Valley High School. He met his wife Nancy in the ninth grade, and they have been together ever since. Dalton was a hardworking man. He worked 40 years for Lone Star Gas and Oklahoma Natural Gas (Oneok). On weekends and after retirement he helped friends in the oilfield and ran heavy equipment. He always found time for his favorite pastime, no matter how busy he was, which was hunting and fishing. Every time someone came by, he would show them his numerous deer racks hanging on the wall.

Dalton was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert Tucker Jr., Clyde Doyle Tucker and Alton Tucker; and one sister, Virginia Seamon.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy Carol Tucker, of the home; one daughter, Carol Willson and her husband, Michael, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; and one granddaughter, Megan Patterson and her husband, Kevin, of Edmond, Oklahoma.

Funeral services for Dalton were held July 27, 2024, at the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, with John Curtis and Chris Kidwell officiating. Interment followed at Paoli Cemetery of Paoli, Oklahoma, under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at woosterfuneralhomes.com.
