Jimmy David Blankenship, of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, passed away September 2, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 68 years. Jimmy was born October 20, 1954, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to Ralph Blankenship and Vera Beatrice (Hicks) Blankenship. Jimmy was raised in the Wynnewood area and attended school at Wynnewood. He and Carla Williams were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, on April 6, 1980. He had attended the Assembly of God Church and had made Wynnewood his home all of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Vera Beatrice Blankenship; one son, Michael Williams; sister, Peggy Perry; sister-in-law, Mickey Blankenship. Jimmy is survived by his wife of over 43 years, Carla Blankenship; four children, Jeff Blankenship, Rick Blankenship, Patrick Blankenship and his wife, Amy, and Donnie Blankenship; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two on the way; two brothers, Ronnie Blankenship and Richard Blankenship; one sister, Dianna Cunnius; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 8, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Mike Boswell. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery at Wynnewood.
