Ruby Lee Rankin, of Elmore City, Oklahoma, was born to Richard and Maudie (Martin) Howard on August 8, 1921, in Whitebead, Oklahoma, and passed from this life on August 17, 2023, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, at the age of 102 years. Ruby grew up and attended school at Roady, Oklahoma. On August 26, 1937, Ruby married Carnez Rankin in Roady. She worked as a teacher’s aid at Elmore City Schools for many years. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Elmore City. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing dominoes and gardening. The highlight of her life was her family. Mrs. Rankin is survived by daughter, Judy Bullard Eldredge; one sister, Barbara Wallace and husband, Bill, of Kyle, Texas; six grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and by a host of family and friends Mrs. Rankin was preceded in death by husband, Carnez Rankin; two sons, Jimmy Don and Rex Dale Rankin; two daughters, Carolyn Foster and LaDonna Gayle Roady; brother, J. L. Sullivan; two sisters, Ruth Scott and Patty Matlock; and three grandchildren.
