Teach a child to save day

Third-grade students at Pauls Valley Elementary School learned about saving their money last week as part of a “Teach Children to Save Day” presentation by Pauls Valley’s First United Bank employees. Students watched a video about how U.S. coins are minted, identified a variety of coins and the value of each, discussed the difference between needs and wants and learned about developing the habit of saving money for things they want. Each student also received a complimentary piggy bank.
