Kenneth Marion Wallace, of Oklahoma City, formerly from Maysville, Oklahoma, was born January 5, 1937 in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to Mitchell and Nellie (Morica) Wallace. He passed from this life on Sunday, January 29, 2023, in his home at the age of 86 years.
Kenneth grew up in Henryetta where he graduated from high school in 1955. He served his country in the U. S. Army where he was stationed in Germany. He retired from the State of Oklahoma McAlester Ammunition Depot where he drove the delivery truck to numerous locations. He married Mary Ellen Sorrels on May 7, 1977, in Gainesville, Texas, and they were married 43 years at the time of her passing. Kenneth loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and spending time sitting outside. He was a member of the Eastside Holiness Church in Maysville. Kenneth will be dearly missed.
His survivors include his children, Janice Clements and husband, Ricky,of Oklahoma City, Susie Walker of Oklahoma City, William Bone and wife, Melanie, of Oklahoma City, Joe Bone of Moore, Donnie Bone of Maysville and Vickie Wyrick and husband, Sam, of Henryetta and Kimberly Griffitts and husband, Chris, of Muskogee; sister, Wilma Mathiews of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Chad, Cody, Courtney, Jaime, Josh, Jacob, Matthew, Heather Marie, Christopher Dean, Blake, Dakota, Samantha and James, Jennifer and Travis, Michael and Patricia, and Daniel and Amanda; great grandchildren, Dorie, Cash, Ace, Alexis, CD, Lacey, Angelina, Collins, McKinley, Brooklyn, Braden, Kaleb, Logan, Hailea, Junior, Carter, Cheyanne, Wade and Alex, Ethan and Zayne, Danny, Arron, and Joshua, Courtney, Cambree, Raylynn; and great-great-grandson, Reign.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Nellie Wallace; wife, Mary Ellen Wallace; mother of his two daughters, Senora Wallace; sister, Wanda Ewton; and brothers-in-law, Gene Ewton, Bart Mathiews; son, Kenneth Timothy Wallace; daughter, Kelly Michelle Wallace; and grandchildren, Kevin Stewart and Janice Stewart.
Graveside services were held February 4, 2023, at the Maysville Cemetery with Bro. Steve Mayhan officiating. Burial followed under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfh@windstream.net.
