The Garvin County Sheriff’s Office is retiring its K-9, Maverick, due to health issues.
Sheriff Jim Mullett told the Garvin County Board of Commissioners during their regular meeting Monday, when his office acquired the K-9 from another local law enforcement agency, they knew it likely wouldn’t be a long-term assignment for the 8-year-old Shepherd.
