Antioch Thanksgiving Dinner scheduled for Nov. 12
The annual Antioch Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at the Antioch School Senior Center on Saturday, November 12, at 6 p.m. This has become a tradition for friends and families of the Antioch Community for many years and is always held on the second Saturday of November.
The meats and dressing will be furnished, your favorite holiday sides and deserts will be appreciated.

Stratford
Trails & Tales kick-off event postponed
Stratford has postponed a kick-off event for the new Trails & Tales StoryWalk, which was planned for Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Stratford Town Park, due to adverse weather conditions forecast for Friday and Saturday. Librarian Teresia Jors said a new date for the event has yet to be decided. In the meantime a story will still be installed next week, and the Trails & Tales walk will be available to the public to enjoy.
Eskridge Hotel to mark 115th anniversary
The Wynnewood Historical Society invites you to join us for fellowship and celebration at the Eskridge Hotel and Museum on November 13, 2022, as we commemorate the 115th Anniversary of the “finest hotel between Fort Worth and Oklahoma City.”
Party time is noon to 4 p.m. Enjoy exhibits on historic homes, street name origins and more. There will be drawings for prizes, face painting and, of course no celebration is complete without cake and punch!

First Baptist Church to host Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner
The First Baptist Church of Elmore City will be hosting their 23rd Annual FREE Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday, November 16, from 4:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Pauls Valley Angel Tree applications now available
The Nora Sparks Warren Library, 210 N. Willow, in Pauls Valley is now accepting applications for the 2022 Angel Tree. Applications can be made at the library during the following times: Nov. 3 from 3-5:30 p.m., Nov. 4 from 1-3 p.m., Nov. 5 from 9-11 a.m., Nov. 7 from 2:30-5 p.m., and Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Veterans Appreciation Lunch, Nov. 10
The Garvin County Courthouse staff will be hosting a Veterans Appreciation Lunch Thursday, Nov. 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the main lobby of the courthouse, 201 W. Grant Ave., in Pauls Valley. All veterans and active service members are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Brisket for the luncheon is provided by generous donations from Sandy Creek Beef and Sheriff Jim Mullett and will be prepared by Valley Quality Meats.
Storytelling at Pikes Peak School Museum
Stories of real people’s lives present and past will be told at the Pikes Peak School Museum on the second Sunday of each month. Marian Cunningham will present factual stories of people who lived with importance to the local communities surrounding Lindsay.
You may know and you may not know all she will share on November 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. Take the opportunity to enjoy storytelling at it’s best and bring your story to share too.

OAAA Fly-in and Car Show this weekend canceled for weather
The Oklahoma Antique Airplane Association Flyin and Car Show originally slated for this weekend at the Pauls Valley Municipal Airport has been canceled due to heavy rain and storms forecast for Friday into Saturday.
