Lindsay High School's fast-pitch softball team joined Washington in a pregame prayer before their game at the State Tournament Oct. 7. Lindsay suffered a heartbreaking 9-0 loss to Washington in the semifinals. Washington went on to win the tournament, beating Tishomingo 2-0. The 2022 Lindsay fast-pitch team is the first in school history to make it to the State Tournament.
