The Pauls Valley Waterpark held its 6th Annual Duck Derby July 15. The derby includes a rubber duck decoration contest and a duck race around the water park’s lazy river.
Pauls Valley Aquatics Director Robert Rennie said he thought this year’s duck decoration contest was one of the best he has seen so far.
Results for the decoration contest were:
Best Decorated, Seniors – Beverly Brown, first place; Sandy Crull, second place; Sherry Grandstaff, third place
Best Decorated, Under 48 inches tall – Fletcher Ralls, first place; Davis Low, second place; Rhett Brown, third place
Best Decorated, Over 48 inches tall – Gabby Perez, first place; Jill Luker, second place; Amanda Cummings, third place
Derby race winners in each division were:
Seniors – Debbie Lewandowski, first and second place; Sherry Grandstaff, third place
Under 48 inches tall – MJ Arie, first place; Courtnie Blakemore, second place; Davis Low, third place
Over 48 inches tall – Bill Ellis, first place; Matthew Low, second place; Kash Potts, third place.
