•Summer Reading Program activities, Nora Sparks Warren Library, July

Summer Reading BINGO cards, coloring contest pages, patterns for the create-your-own-bookmark activity and library scavenger hunt sheets are available now at the Nora Sparks Warren Library, 210 N. Willow, in Pauls Valley. The library is also hosting a free movie with popcorn and snacks each Thursday at 2 p.m.

•6th Annual Duck Derby and Diving Contest, July 15, 6 p.m.

The Pauls Valley Waterpark’s sixth annual Duck Derby and Diving Contest will be July 15. Ducks are $5 each and may be purchased at the Donald W. Reynolds Recreation Center, 1005 N. Willow, in Pauls Valley. Contestants can decorate their ducks in advance and then bring them to “race” around the Waterpark’s lazy river. Prizes will be awarded for race winners and Best Decorated Duck. Judging will start at 6 p.m. The Diving Contest will award prizes for Best Dive and Best Cannonball. Diving Contest entries are $2 per event, and contestants can sign up at the PV Waterpark. Prizes include Waterpark season passes, day passes and merchandise.

•Stratford Round-Up Club IPRA/ACRA Championship Rodeo, July 14-16

The Stratford Round-Up Club will host its annual IPRA/ACRA Championship Rodeo July 14-16 at 8 p.m. nightly. Rodeo events will include steer wrestling, bull riding, roping, barrel races and bronc riding, as well as mutton bustin’ for ages 6 and under. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 7-12. Children under 6 are admitted free. A Rodeo Parade is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. July 14.

•Stratford Peach Festival, July 16

The Stratford Peach Festival will be July 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stratford City Park, 701 S. Pine St. The free pancake breakfast begins at 7 a.m. at the south end of the park. Registration for the Car Show begins at 8:30, and registration for the Cornhole Tournament begins at 9 a.m. Opening ceremonies will be held at the pavilion at 9 a.m., followed by local performers throughout the day. Turtle races at the pavilion begin at 10 a.m. and the Peach Royalty Contest will take place at noon. The park will be filled with a variety of activities and attractions throughout the day, including homemade ice cream, face painting, kid’s games, bounce houses, pony rides and a mechanical bull. •Pauls Valley Historical Society program, July 17, 3 p.m.

The Pauls Valley Historical Society will be meeting at the Judges’ Inn, 519 N. Ash, Pauls Valley, on Sunday, July 17, at 3 p.m. Candace Blalock will be telling the very interesting story of the Inn. •New Hours for Pauls Valley Depot Museum

The Pauls Valley Depot Museum will begin new hours beginning August 1. Hours will be Wednesday through Saturday 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. The Depot Museum will be closed Monday and Tuesday. For more information email pvsantafedepot@yahoo.com or call 405-238-2244.

•Murray Lindsay Mansion and the Pikes Peak School set summer tour hours

Weekend museum tours at the Murray Lindsay Mansion and the Pikes Peak School located in Erin Springs will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Weekend tours will be available through the month of August, except for the Memorial Day and Fourth of July weekends, when the museums will be closed.
