Josh Gray, 39, of Marietta, Oklahoma, passed away June 24, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Josh was born May 25, 1983 in Denton, TX. He grew up in Cooke County, TX and graduated from Callisburg High School. Josh married Lindsey Fanning and settled in Marietta, with their two daughters. He worked in car sales and the oil field, continued his love of team roping, and had a passion for baseball.
Josh loved life and ran wide open. He loved his family and loved his daughters and brother huge! Josh made a friend everywhere he went. He rededicated his life to Christ on April 28, 2019, and was baptized with his daughters, niece, and nephew. Mr. Gray was preceded in death by grandfather, Billy Joe Gray Sr.; grandfather, Riley Pat Horan Sr; and uncle, Riley Pat Horan Jr.
Survivors include daughters, Kynleigh and Rubee Gray of Marietta; mother, Nancy Janelle Horan and husband, Cal Getz, of Joshua, Texas; grandparents, Don and Betty King of Gainesville, Texas; grandmother, Nita Gray of Gainesville; grandmother, Linda Horan of Burleson, Texas; grandmother, Jean Peery of Marietta; brother, Adam Gray and wife, Nicole, of Elmore City, Oklahoma; niece, Erin Gray and nephew, Cooper Harden, of Elmore City; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service was held Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville.
Serving as pallbearers were Adam Gray, Cody Hudspeth, Justin Swank, Kyle Patterson, Stephen Lindsay, and Ryan Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Cheaney, Cooper Harden, Cody Lee, Bradley Barnard, Justin Gomez, and John Luke Waltrip.
