Barbara Sue Webster

Barbara Sue Webster, of Maysville, Oklahoma, was born May 16, 1941, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to P. Q. and Warnde (Scarbrough) Holland. She passed from this life on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years.

Barbara grew up in the Pauls Valley area and graduated from Pauls Valley High School in 1959. She married Grady Webster on September 8, 1959, and she lost him when he was only 49 years old. Barbara was a loving, hardworking wife, mother, grandma, and a friend to many. She had worked as a nurses aide at Purcell Hospital, Griffin Hospital, Broadlawn Nursing Home, and then as a surgery technician at Lindsay Hospital for several years. She raised her children and many others. Everyone was always welcome to stay at their home and she made sure they had plenty to eat since she loved to cook. Barbara enjoyed going to thrift shops, garage sales, and back in the day, she and Grady enjoyed going to the dances. They loved to go to the deer camp with all the family and there would be about 20 of them. She loved farm and ranch work and helped Grady for many years. Barbara liked to plant flowers and raise a garden, and enjoyed taking the grandchildren on trips to the Table Top Mountains and to play in the creek. She loved her dogs and will be terribly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Mona Sullivan of Pauls Valley, Jim Webster and wife, Lora, of Maysville, Brad Webster of Katie, Oklahoma, Mark Webster of Maysville, and Scotty Webster of Lindsay, Oklahoma; brother, Royce Holland of Maysville; grandchildren, Shelly Pender, James Webster, Kim Webster, Rusty Webster, Brady Webster, McKayla Webster, Sierra, Rebecca, Colby, Tiffany, Braxton, and Colton; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, P. Q. and Warnde Holland; first husband, Grady Lee Webster; second husband, Cecil Dutton; brother, Tommy Holland; sister-in-law, Barbara Sue Holland; daughter-in-law, Lori Webster; grandson-in-law, Jason Pender; and son-in-law, John Sullivan.

Funeral services were held June 11, 2022, at the Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville, with Bro. Tim Carr officiating. Services were under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com.
