PV Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament, May 21

The PV Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Chamber Golf Tournament Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Pauls Valley Municipal Golf Course. In addition to the four-person scramble-style tournament, the day will include a silent auction, various golf contests, door prizes and lunch. Jonetta’s Jubilee, May 22, from 2-4 p.m. in Lindsay

There will be a come and go party to celebrate Jonetta Hinkle and her distinguished career as a piano teacher (62 uninterrupted years and counting) Sunday, May 22, from 2-4 p.m. at the REC Multi Purpose Center in Lindsay. We will have a special presentation at 3 p.m. and Mrs. Hinkle will grace us with a piano performance. She would love to hear former and current students play piano in the background during the party if they wish. Mrs. Hinkle has been a devoted teacher, mentor and friend to countless students over the decades. No “thank you” could ever be enough, but we hope that you will come help us try to thank Jonetta for her years of unwavering commitment to the people of Lindsay and the surrounding areas.

Come to the Cross Ministries is hosting a tent revival May 23-27 in Maysville, at the park just across from the Senior Citizens Building. Services will be 7:30 p.m. nightly. Echolocation Grotto (a.k.a. Bat Bus), Nora Sparks Warren Library, June 7

The Echolocation Grotto from Alabaster Caverns State Park (also known as the Bat Bus) will be at the Nora Sparks Warren Library, 210 N. Willow, in Pauls Valley from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 7. Drop by the come-and-go event to learn all about bats. The program is part of the library’s “Oceans of Possibility” summer reading program and admission is free.

Elmore City Round-Up Club Rodeo Queen Contest, June 11

The Elmore City Round Up Club is seeking candidates for the Rodeo Queen Contest. Contest judging will be June 11. The rodeo is June 16-18. The candidate with the highest accumulated points for speech, horsemanship, ticket sales, and appearance, will be crowned queen on Saturday night of the rodeo.
