A Pauls Valley man remains in custody this week, charged with several counts of possession of child pornography.
Warren Brent Gilbert was arrested by the Garvin County Sheriff’s Office on April 13 at a residence in Pauls Valley, according to information released by the Sheriff’s Office on Monday.
Gilbert’s arrest was the result of a cyber tip the Sheriff’s Office received as part of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) joint task force with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Investigation of the tip led deputies to obtain and execute a search warrant at a Pauls Valley residence. Several computers, laptops and electronic devices containing a large number of videos of child pornography were seized at the residence. Those items ultimately resulted in Gilbert’s arrest.
Gilbert is being held on a $500,000 bond. The deputy working the case said it was one of the worst cases they have worked in terms of the exploitation of children, according to Garvin County Sheriff Jim Mullett. Mullet said the case is still being investigated and could possibly lead to more arrests and charges.
The ICAC joint task force investigates crimes that exploit children. The Sheriff’s office has been part of the program since July of 2021.
