Classes begin in new ECP high school building

Elmore City-Pernell high school students and staff celebrated the first day of classes in their new building Monday. Staff and administrators were on hand to welcome students, give directions and hand out locker assignments. The new high school is part of an $8.1 million bond issue passed by voters in 2019. Features of the new facility include a fully equipped science lab, a STEM classroom and a large commons area for student gatherings.
