JESSE D MCANGUS

Jesse D (JD) McAngus, of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, was born October 7,1933, to Danny and Mae McAngus in Hominy, Oklahoma. He passed away on November 16, 2021, at Baptist Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 88 years.

JD enlisted with the United States Marine Corps after high school and was honorably discharged October 1961, as a Corporal (E-3). After his military service, he worked in the oil field that brought him to Perry, Oklahoma, and later went to work for Ditch Witch as a welder. He made this his career and retired from Ditch Witch as a welding foreman. JD also worked some weekends for Kemnitz Service Station where he enjoyed getting to visit with the customers. During his spare time, he loved to fish and teaching his kids how to fish. He could fish all day and sometimes all night. He would say when the fish weren’t biting, that they were bound to start biting sometime, so we would keep fishing. He also loved to watch his kids and then his grandkids compete in sports.
