Chester Glen Tracy, of Maysville, Oklahoma, was born on June 11, 1944 in Sayre, Oklahoma, to Elbert Collier Tracy and Alice Virginia (Kiser) Tracy. He passed from this life on Friday, November 12, 2021, in his home at the age of 77 years.
Chester spent his early years in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, and graduated from high school there in 1962 before attending Oklahoma State University where he graduated in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science.
On October 4, 1969, Chester and Patricia Munchrath were married in Windthorst, Texas. Chester spent his life farming and enjoyed the life it afforded he and his family. He also enjoyed and was an avid fan of Oklahoma State football and basketball. In his spare time, he liked to play bridge with family and friends. Chester was a self-taught man of computer skills and with these skills he enjoyed playing the stock market. For many years, he had studied Spanish although he rarely had the opportunity to use it. Chester’s church and faith were especially important to him. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma, where he served on the Parish Council as President and Treasurer. Chester was always a welcome site in the community where he had many, many friends and he will be sorely missed.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Patricia; children, Danny Tracy of Champaign, Illinois, Chris Tracy of Owasso, Oklahoma, Leigh Ann Fields and husband, Lindel, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren, Collier James Tracy and Eva Ann Fields. He is also survived by his brothers, Dale Tracy and wife, Judy, of Cheyenne, and Ken Tracy and wife, Peggy, of Tulsa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Wake/Rosary was held Monday, November 15, 2021, at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at St. Peters Catholic Church, Lindsay, with Father Michael Wheelahan officiating. Services were under the direction of John W.
