•Pauls Valley library accepting passport applications

The Nora Sparks Warren Library, 210 N. Willow St., Pauls Valley now accepts passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Dept. of State. U.S. citizens planning on traveling internationally may apply for their passport at the library by appointment only. Please call 405-238-5188 to reserve a time.

•Elmore City Fall Festival and Car Show, Nov. 13

The Elmore City Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Fall Festival and Car Show on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Elmore City Lake. There will be bounce houses, food trucks, music, games and vendors. The Chamber will also host a Bingo game at the pavilion at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. •Garvin County 4-H to host “Fallin’ into Fun” fundraiser, Nov. 14

Garvin County Masonic Lodges in Lindsay, Pauls Valley, Stratford and Wynnewood are sponsoring a “Fallin’ into Fun” fundraiser to benefit Garvin County 4-H programs and members. The event will include a barbeque dinner, cornhole tournament and dessert auction on Sunday, Nov. 14, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Garvin County Fairgrounds. Donations will be taken at the door. The double elimination cornhole tournament will begin at 1 p.m. There is a $50 per team entry fee, and cash prizes of $300 for first place, $200 for second place and $100 for third place. •Garvin County Choral Society & Sinfonietta presents Handel’s “Messiah,” Nov. 14

This inaugural concert will present G.F. Handel’s “Messiah” at the Pauls Valley High School Auditorium Sunday, Nov. 14, at 3 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are welcome and encouraged. •Lindsay Community Thanksgiving Dinner, Nov. 25

Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay will be hosting their annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner Nov. 25 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 410 W. Chickasaw. Dine-in, carry-out, and delivery options are all available (delivery only to the Lindsay area). You may call 405-756-7217 or 405-756-2781 for delivery the day of the dinner.

•Pauls Valley library now adopting angels

The Nora Sparks Warren Library now has Angel Tree angels available for adoption. If you would like to adopt an angel, or simply donate to Angel Tree, stop by the Pauls Valley Library.

•Meditation Classes at the Pauls Valley Library, Nov. 17 & Dec. 1

Need help with stress from the holidays? Just need to relax? The Nora Sparks Warren Library will be holding meditation classes led by Tonya Tobey from 6-7:15 p.m. November 17 and December 1. Call 405-238-5188 to sign up.

•Pauls Valley library & Sheriff’s Office Blood Drive, Dec. 1

The Garvin County Sheriff’s Office and the Nora Sparks Warren Library will be holding a blood drive on Wednesday, December 1 from 8:45-11:30 a.m. and 1-3:45 p.m. All donors will receive their choice of a long sleeve t-shirt OR a free COVID-19 antibody test.
