New bridge to be named for former Garvin County Commissioner

    The Garvin County Board of Commissioners honored the service of former County Commissioner Kenneth Holden Monday with the announcement that a new bridge near Purdy will be named the Kenneth Holden Bridge.

    The board surprised Holden, who was present for the board’s regular meeting, with the announcement and the presentation of a bronze plaque that will eventually be mounted to the bridge.
