DOW GENE HELTON

Dow Gene Helton was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, on November 8, 1950, to Master Sargent Byron G. and Pauline L. Helton. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 19, 2021.

Gene’s family moved to the Wilmington, Delaware, area when Gene was two years old. He spent most of his growing years in Orlando, Florida, after moving there in 1958. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1968, where he was on the track team as a pole vaulter. He served our country in the Marine Corps, and was a Vietnam Veteran. After retiring from military services, he made his home in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, where he owned a mini mall that was home to many businesses such as a crafters and an antique market.

Gene is survived by his brother, Ron Helton and family of Phoenix, Arizona; and his cousin, JR Williams and family of Noble, Oklahoma.
