Several local businesses have come together to raise money for the Lindsay Animal Welfare Center by sponsoring a unique Valentine’s Day raffle.
The raffle is for a Valentine’s Day prize package that includes a one-night hotel stay on Feb. 12 in a room decorated for Valentine’s Day, two free steak dinners with all the fixings delivered to the room, fresh flowers, desserts and other sweet treats, and beverages.
“It’s a great opportunity for those who have small children and may not want to get too far away from home,” said Samantha Randol, Lindsay’s animal control officer. “It’s a chance to win a great Valentine’s date night and help the animal shelter at the same time.”
Raffle tickets cost $20 each or $100 for 6, and Randol said only 196 tickets are being offered. Tickets can be purchased at Lindsay’s Best Western, Evans Food Stop, Hot Mess Coffee and Lindsay Veterinary Hospital.
The drawing will be held Feb. 7.
Local sponsors include Best Western, Evan’s Food Stop, SweatPea Flowers and Gifts, Party Pier and Scarlet’s Sweets and Treats
Randol said all proceeds will benefit the Lindsay Animal Welfare Center and will help pay outstanding vet bills incurred as the result of the care of animals taken into custody in relation to a pending court case.
