Public meeting to focus on downtown landscaping

The city of Pauls Valley will hold a public meeting Jan. 28 to present several options being considered for renovating and landscaping the corner curb extensions, also known as “bump outs,” in the downtown area along Paul Avenue.

Residents are invited to attend and will be offered the opportunity to provide comment or input about the proposals following the presentation.

Pauls Valley Tourism Director Tawni Huggans said the options to be presented are the result of discussions among multiple departments within the city regarding how to clean-up, enhance and maintain the curb extension areas, as the community works to revitalize downtown.

Huggans said while no decisions will be made at the Jan. 28 public forum, the input from residents will be used to help guide city officials as they begin to move forward with the process of addressing the bump outs.

The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. at Pauls Valley City Hall, 100 W. Paul Ave.
