The Paoli Board of Education has called a special election for Nov. 18 to fill a vacancy for office 2 on the Paoli school board.
Voters will elect a new board member to fill the remainder of an unexpired term for office 2, which continues through 2027, according to an election resolution approved by the board of education during a special meeting Aug. 27.
Those interested in filling the position can file a declaration of candidacy with the Garvin County Election Board during a special filing period to be held Oct. 6-8.
Qualified candidates must reside in the Paoli School District for at least six months prior to the first day of the filing period and also must also have been a registered voter in the district for at least six months.
The County Election Board is in Room 8 of the Garvin County Courthouse, 201 W. Grant Ave. in Pauls Valley, 405-238-3303.
