Oklahoma’s annual Sales Tax Holiday is today through Sunday (Aug. 1-3).
During the tax-free weekend, state, county and municipal sales taxes are waived on qualifying purchases of clothing and footwear priced less than $100. According to the Oklahoma Tax Commission, shoppers can take advantage of the sales tax holiday both in stores and online.
Shoppers should be aware there are some exclusions, though. Accessories, clothing and footwear designed to be used exclusively “for athletic activity or protective use” are excluded from the tax-free weekend. School supplies are also not eligible for tax-free status during the holiday.
