Students at Pauls Valley Intermediate School celebrated the success of a recent canned food drive for the Samaritans food pantry with a “Pie-in-the-Face” assembly last week.
For every 10 items they donated, students were able to place their name in the bucket of one of six PVIS staff members who volunteered to take a pie to the face for the worthy cause. During the assembly Dec. 14, one lucky student’s name was drawn from each bucket, determining who would get to deliver the pie.
Students collected nearly 900 food items for the local pantry during the food drive.
