The water is back on in Maysville as of Tuesday morning, though a voluntary boil order has been issued for the town.
Maysville was without water Sunday night and much of the day Monday as crews worked to rectify issues that resulted in insufficient water levels in the town’s water towers.
Maysville Trustee Joe Couch said Tuesday the voluntary boil order is related to the water pressure being so low for so long, and is expected to be in place for a couple of days.
Couch said water in the tanks has been restored to adequate levels and the water plant is operating normally, now.
Social media accounts for the town are still asking residents to conserve water where possible.
