Garvin County Sheriff Jim Mullett said this morning law enforcement agencies searching for fugitive Kameron Jenkins are now expanding their search to include all of Garvin County.
Mullett said the initial perimeter areas in and around Wynnewood have been saturated as officers have continued searching around the clock since Wednesday morning.
Citizens can expect to see multiple law enforcement agencies active across the county as the search area expands and they work to follow up on all leads coming in through the tip line.
Sheriff Mullett is asking anyone who has trail or game cameras, doorbell cameras or security cameras to check them for any signs or sightings of Jenkins. Anyone who may have captured footage of Jenkins or anything they think may be of interest to law enforcement is asked to call the Crimestoppers tip line at 405-235-7300 or 1-855-211-STOP.
Jenkins, 25, is wanted in connection to the shooting of Cleveland County Deputy and District 21 Task Force officer Sean Steadman Wednesday morning near interstate 35 and Ruppe Road, south of Wynnewood. Jenkins fled the scene on foot after the shooting.
At last report, Steadman is in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.
A second person, Gwaun Frierson, was shot and killed in the incident when he was hit by a stray bullet while riding in the passenger side of a dump truck traveling north on interstate 35. The driver of the dump truck, Julion Diaz, was not hurt.
