OKLAHOMA CITY – All interim study requests submitted by members have been approved in the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
The 82 study requests approved by House Speaker Charles McCall, R-Atoka, include eight proposed joint studies with senators.
Some studies of similar topics may be combined at a later date. House committees will now begin scheduling studies between August and November.
Interim studies are held by legislative committees out of session to take closer looks at issues, potentially for future legislation. The studies also may review the effectiveness of previous legislation.
House studies will be livestreamed on the House website. Handouts, presentations and documents utilized at hearings will be available online, as well.
