The Garvin County Sheriff‘s Office provided an update this week regarding the transfer of sentenced inmates from the Garvin County Detention Center to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
Eight inmates who received sentences in Garvin County District Court were transferred to the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections between April and August 2026.
Those individuals and the corresponding case numbers are: Angelo Andrews, CF-25-302; Megan Romine, CF-23-135; Ricky Griffin, CF-25-248; Billy Cannon, CF-25-318; Andrew Dixon, CF-25-285; Jonah Myers, CF-25-208; Justin Nye, CF-25-330; and William Miranda, CF-25-38. The Sheriff‘s Office would also like to remind victims, family members and members of the public about OK VINE, Oklahoma‘s free and confidential victim notification system. OK VINE allows individuals to check an offender‘s custody status and register to receive notifications regarding changes in custody, including transfers and releases.
To register or check an offender‘s custody status, visit www.VINELink.com or call 1-877-654-8463.
Garvin County Sheriff Jim Mullett said the Sheriff‘s Office will continue working with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections to ensure inmates who have been sentenced to state custody are transferred appropriately while maintaining available space within the Garvin County Detention Center.
“Our responsibility is to safely house those who are in our custody and to make sure those who are sentenced to the Department of Corrections are transferred appropriately,” Mullett said. “We also want to make sure victims and members of our community have access to information about an offender‘s custody status.”
