Flatland freestyle BMX show tours local schools

Students at several area schools were treated to flatland freestyle BMX shows performed by Rich Wieber this week.

Wieber also spoke to students about bicycle safety and the importance of wearing helmets while riding. Whitebead eighth-grader Madison Groves, assisted in demonstrating how to do a bike safety check before riding during Whitebead’s show Wednesday. As part of the stunt portion of the show at Whitebead, Wieber jumped his bike over not one but two teachers, twin brothers James and Steven Vines.

Wieber will be performing as part of the Vintage in the Valley Bicycle Stunt Show during Brickfest Saturday, along with Terrance Collins and Clayton Lovett. Shows will be at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Santa Fe Depot area.
