Fifth Friday Art Walk returns to downtown Pauls Valley May 30

Live music, free carriage rides and a variety of artwork are expected to draw visitors to downtown Pauls Valley next week as the Pauls Valley Arts Council hosts its next Fifth Friday Art Walk May 30.

The event, which coincides with National Creativity Day, will take place from 5:55 to 9 p.m. along a three-block stretch of Paul Avenue between Walnut and Santa Fe Streets.

The Pauls Valley Arts Council Building, 220 W. Paul Ave., will have artwork by Pauls Valley art students in grades 8-12 on display, along with work and merchandise from 10 other visiting artists. That location will also have door prize drawings every half hour, will host a silent auction and will have free pizza by Caffe Italia.

Other businesses in the downtown area will also be hosting artists and their work during the Art Walk. Free carriage rides will be available to take visitors from the Arts Council Building to other sites along Paul Avenue, the Depot area on Santa Fe Street and participating businesses on Charles Street.

Local country music band The Polecats will be playing live at the Depot pavilion during the Art Walk, and the Depot will have free iced tea provided by Café LM Dairy.
