Early voting begins Thursday

Early voting for the Feb. 10 school bond special election in the Elmore City-Pernell school district will be Thursday, Feb. 5, and Friday, Feb. 6, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Garvin County Election Board Office, 201 W. Grant Ave., in Pauls Valley.

Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day have the option of voting an in-person absentee ballot, also known as early voting, at their County Election Board.

Garvin County Election Board Secretary Holly Levis said early voting is open to all voters.

“You do not need to provide an excuse to vote early. Oklahoma allows early voting for all elections conducted through the State Election Board—from school board and municipal elections to state and federal elections. This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day or who want to avoid long lines,” Levis said.

Levis reminds voters that early voting is not available at polling locations.

Regular polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the Feb. 10 Election Day.
